Oat ley, Nelson, £2 84 This afternoon the 100 yds range of tko Nelson Match (500, 800 yds, and 700 yds), and the 900 yds of the Canterbury Match was taken. A strong wind, varying from 7 degrees left rear to 7 degroes right rear, upset shooting, and the scoring was not good. Tho highest scores at <JOO were Catlcy 33 and MeLeorf 31. At 500 yds in the Nelson Match the highest scorers were Wolch (Opakij, Domigan (Feilding), Wcth. wood (Kaske's Bay), and King (Opaki) 33 cash Both matches will be resumed to-morrow morning. Malis (Dunedin) S3. McCallery (Now Sautk Wales) Gi, and Moore (Piako) til, were top scorers at tho two ranges of tha Canterbury Match.
Tho Government do not propose to send a team to Bislcy this year, but many favor the proposal to send 20 mon to Melbourne to meet the team of .English marksmen visiting Australia in October. Williams (Opawa), wlnlo cycling from the range to-night collided with a cart and broke an arm. Ho was sent to the Wellington Hospital.
