As the flooring of a large room was being torn up mi fewer tliiin 150 parcels containing valuable silver articles were brought to light. Hume of tin' designs, whieli me very beautiful, have mot been made by the company for twenty years ami more, and many pieces bear marks which present members of the company cannot rccogu se. The goods are valued at many hundreds of pounds. The explanation of the all'air is that about thirty years ago an employee Vanished with' several hundreds of pounds worth of goods, lie secreted limv-clf in the factory at nigh ! . and escaped over (lie roofs willi ]iis plunder. It is supposed that he stole the articles one by one, and hid them beneath the flooring at light. The dV coverv on Wednesday was evidently a hoard, whieli he had been unable to remove,
