Borough Council will be hold in the Council Chambers, King Street, N«w Plymouth, on the 11th day of March, 1907, at 7.30 p.m., for the purpose of confirming a resolution passed by the Council on the 11th day of February, 11107, ordaining and making by-laws and amendments for the Borough of New Plymouth to come into operation and force on the 20th day of March, 11)07 ; and also that the object and purport of such by-laws

(a) lo repeal by-laws 68 and 69 of diyisiou a of the general bylaws of the borough. (u) To provide lor the fixing of water meters by consumers and for the control of the same by the Council aud for their removal and repair, (c) To provido for the fixinfi of charges for motive power, hydraulic lift power, and for building and plastering.

(d) To provide as to the materials to be used in tke erection of chimneys, smoke pipes aud funnels, (e) Prohibiting the lighting of

fires in furnaces used in connection with, any brewery, foundry, sawmill, mills, smithy, steam luundry, or other manufactory unless such furnace bo furnished with chimney shaft of specified materials and height, Providing ihat vihere sawdust, shavings, or leather chips are
