A SUDDEN DLATH.
Blenheim, February 18.
A man named Sheehan expired suddenly this afternoon. lie had been hurrying to catch a train, and collapsed. He was carried into a blacksmith's shop, where he died immeiiatoly. Deceased came fron> Wellington, and was suffering from a throat complaint. He was about 24. years of age.
INQUEST.
CHBisTClirnor, February is. An adjourned inquest was held today concerning the death of Co.-jl P. Gibson, who died at the hospital on Thursday shortly after bis ad.ms.-.ou The inquest had to be adjourned in trder that certain organs mmht be ex amined, poison being suspjcled loday medical .vidense was given that death was due to internal troub e, ami a yerdict was returned accordingly.

Auckland, February IS. The Hon. McNab received a number o£ deputations to-day. He visited tin Forts and presented a charter to the Oaehunga branch of the Liberal and Labor Federation. He leaves to-night Ik Whangarei on a North of Auckland - fc>nr.
