DpNEDis, February 18. At the Criminal Court sittings, Mr Justice Williams, in his charge to the jury, made reference to a case of using indecent language in a public place, in which accused had elected to be tried by a jury. He said it was a pity the law allowed such cases to go beyond the Magistrate's Court. Margaret McCarthy, aged 10, a confirmed pickpocket, came up for sentence. The Judge decided to give her one more chance and warned her of the risk she was running.and ordered her to enter her own recognisance- of £25 and come up for sentence when called lip m.
