SOLO COMPETITIONS, l'er Press Association. Christchurcli, February 15. At the Hand Contest to-day the prolamine included solos—soprano corner, tenor trombones, E Hat and BB Hat basses, trombone trios and quartet tes. In t'iie preliminaries of the tenor trombone solos 17 competed, mid the following have been selected to play in the finals:—Fellows (Newcastle City), Sly and Grey (Wangauui), nrtl Ca(iigaJto>i (Momingtoin)!.
