PUBLIC NO I'ICE is hereby given that a special meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council will be held 111 the Council Chambers, lung Street, New Plymouth, on the 11th day of March, 1907, at 7.30 p.m., for the purposo of confirming a resolution passed by the Council 011 the 11th day of February, 11)07, ordaining and making by-laws and amendments for the Borough oE New Plymouth to come into operation and force 011 the 20th day of March, 11)07 ; and also that the object and purport of such by-laws are: —
(a) To repeal by-laws UN and 09 of diyision 5 of the general bylaws of ike borough, (u) To provide lor tlie fixing of water meters by consumers and for tlie control of the same by the Council and for their removal and repair, (c) To provide for the iixint? of charges for motive power, hydraulic lift power, and for building arid plastering. (i>) To provide as to tlio materials to be used in the erection of chimneys, smoke pipes and funnels, (is) Prohibiting the lighting of fires in furnaces used in connection with any brewery, foundry, sawiniil, mills, smithy, steam laundry, or other manufactory unless such furnace be furnished with chimney shaft of specilied materials and height.
