WEr.nsiiTOX, February (!. jt"Thc Minister for Labour lias Ixail enquiries made by officers of his Department as to tlie allegations made by the "Wellington Tost" that child slavery existed on dairy farms in some districts of the North Island. ■The "Post" states to-night that the reports sent in to the Minister showthat the allegations were justified, but the Minister-is waiting until he rfuives reports from the whole of the districts befofe going fully into the matter, with a view to seeing if any legislation shall be introduced to deal with the evil.
