The report of the Royal Commission on Papuan affairs has been presented. It it understood it severely condemns the administration in certain directions, and states that the Administrator divided his ollicers mto two classes: those who were in his favour, and those who were not. The report recommends that the treasurer and M. D. Ballantyne, Resident Magistrate in the South-Easteru division be retired, also the Government Secretary, the latter aEter twelve mouths.
