.—o CASE FOR PROSECUTION CLOSKD. THE DEFENCE. Received I'., 12.1-J a.m. N i;w Yokk, February 5. The ease for the prosecution in the trial of Thaw for the murder of (Stanford White, has closed. Gleason, counsel for the defence, pleaded hereditary insanity, declaring that Thaw acted without malice and in selfdefence, believing a threat had been made against him by White. Tbe speech concluded with an appeal to the jury to say tliey should have done the same in his position, considering the stress of sense of wrong, and hereditary taint.
