Mrs Cheshire asked I hem win- they were not with the others on the beach, when George replied that they were drowned. .Mr Cheshire rant 1 the beach, and seeing nothing of the children, at once telephoned to Mr Gibnore. the harbormaster, who repor.ed the case to the police, and a boat was at parents were informed, and they .Irow home in frantic nasie.
The news spread through the town, and a huge number of people hastened out. Young men dived eontiuuou-ly ill, every direction in search of Hie bodies, and the police started dragging. There are treacherous currents in the locality. Yesterday a -trong wind blew, and there was a huge quantity of seaweed. There is very little impe of recovering the bodies, many sharks having been seen lately in the neighborhood.
