SIR J. A. SWETTENHA.YI RESIGNS London, January 30. The Globe states that Sir .1. A. Swetteuuam's resignation has been ac cepied. The resignation is due to facts coining to light whereof he was not aware, and ought to have been told. Reuter's agent stated that a meet ing under the auspices of the Merchants' Exchange at Kingston declared that the Government officials are out of touch with the community and unable to cone with the situation.
