UNSATISFACTORY TO MAJNUI FACTURERS. ME MORALISING THE GOVERNMENT. Roceiyed 28, 9.38 p.m. Ottawa, January 28. Tho Executive Council of the Canadian Manufacturers' Association, memorialising the Government, condemn the new tariff as being neither encouraging to industries nor furmshii ; incentive to investors to he entcrp ,smg. While endorsing the principle of mutual preferential arrangements, it is certain, the memorial declares, that the present schedules fail to put Canadian producers on an oquitable basis compared with British competitors.
