SERIOUS TRAP ACCIDENT.
YOUNG LADY BADLY INJURED A serious trap accident occurred at Sentry Hill on Saturday night, just on tlie arrival of the mail train. Mrs Ffyslop, of Pencarrow Farm, and Miss Alills, a visitor from Sydney, were sitting in a gig whilst Mr Hyslop adjusted tlie winkers on the horse. Freed from the blinkers, and thus beyond control, the animal started off at a gallop, and soon came to [grief, overturning aud smashing the gig, and throwing the ladies out. Miss Mills sustained a double compound fracture of tlie leg, and her injuries were so serious that she had lo lie conveyed on Sunday to the New Plymouth Hospital. Mrs Hyslop, (hough more fortunate than her companion, was also severely injured, suffering a sprained ankle and very nasty bruises
Miss Mills, who is among the leading teachers of singing in Sydney, and herself a well-known vocalist, was to have left this morning to take up au engagement in a Dimedia college.
