The Rawhili and S.J.S. were the only competitors. The latter had an allowance of thirty minutes four seconds, but was out of the race before hall the distance had been covered, mainly owing to bad judgment in sticking to Ilia coast between Brighton and Half Moon Bay. After deducting the lime allowance, the Ilawhili won by eleven minutes and forty live seconds, sseurii g the Cup.
