SWISS FARMER IMPRISONS HIS DAUGHTER FOR 3 YEARS. Geneva, November 20. A wealthy farmer, named Thonney, and his wife, living in the village of Benguins, near Nyon, have been arrested for torturing their daughter. Mile. Thonney, three years ago, when she was fifteen years old, had a love affair, which ended in her father locking her in an underground cellar. She had been kept there a prisoner ever since until yesterday, when Thonney-'s daughter in-law, after a quarrel, gave information to the police. Thonney was released in a pitiable condition. She was halfblind, speechless, and indescribably emaciated. She was removed to the hospital.
