OVERWHELMED WITH GIFTS. Berlin, November 28. The bogus "Captain" Voigt, of Koe peuick fame, whose trial will began on Saturday, has been the recipient of extraordinary marks of favor from all parts of the world since the day of his arrest. Many hundreds of presents have been sent to him from a dozen dill'erent countries, including England and America. Cases of wine could not be. (Ustivcrcd to him in person owing to the prison regulations, hut many parcels containing eatable, have helped to ameliorate his lot during the period preceding his trial. Sums of money exceeding C-IO have been sent to Voigt from six ilill'erenl countries. A large ease I'm lof cakes and biscuits came from Eng'land. A young girl's boarding school in Switzerland sent Voigt home made mar ma-lade, and a leininine admirer in Paris sent a doll in captain's uniform. One sum of £2 IDs was collected by [-male attendants at Uie ladics'public bath ill lierlin from patrons uf that institution. Sixtv parcels containing otlu r presents "were delivered to Voigt. who also received thousands of letters ex pressing bis admiration for his daring stroke.
