An examination of the cake and the character of the symptoms, especially in Miss Mtdverrow ? s case,, point, it is said, to the presence of strychnine. Mr Thomas Jbwn, laU: managing director of tlr; La.ucina.rk Cobiery Company, who is married to a niece of ALr Lennox, and is connected with several well-known families in Ayrshire, lias been arrested in connection with tlio affair.
