RAILWAY PORTER KILLED AT - HAWERA. , ' f\ \ ■<•'« Press Association. Hawera, * January 8. .-'- Patrick McCarthy, a porter at Ha wera railway station, aged 27, was killed by the engine of U\« mail train during shunting operations this morn ing. ' Terrible injuries were iullicted, the head being reduced to a puip and the jiody disembowelled. A wife and two young children -are left.
