XMAS. CHURCH SERVICES.
The rhindav services at AYhilclev Memorial Church were siltended by large congregalmas, the Rev. T. G. lirooke olliciatihg. ' The choir was heard to great, advantage at both services, a number of choruses from "The .Messiah" being clloi.-tive:y rendered. The singing was so uniformly good that a seiecihm is difficult, but probably "Flis Yoke is Easy" and '-Glory" were the finest numbers Doth morning and evening the ''Glory" Chorus was sung. Jn the evening .Mr Harry llrooke, of •Dunsdin. sang "O Rest ill tlie l.oio'- a, st. .soil, iiwii. Mr A, Okey eiliciemly Jed the choir, which had put in a-siduoiis practice, and .Mr G. U. White uredded at the organ.
On Christmas Day there were exceptional congregationas'at St. .Mary's Church. Ti.rce celebrations of the Holy Communion weiv held. .Special pains had been taken with the musical portions of the services, and the choir has rarely if ever attained such a sieudai-1 of excellence, The Vicar lee lev.
