BUTTER JUDGING.
To the Editor. Sir, —Ho butter at the \mv Plymouth show. 1 think it would be 11. good plan, if the Agricultural Society, would advertise who is to do the judging. It" they do not go in for it different system of judging thai) the hist I inn afraid there will not be iniuiv enter butter another year. It' they are going to appoint an amateur judge, it is only fair that butter-) makers should know, and then they eouldj make a butter that they thought would suit—something with a fine strong flavor and salt enough to pickle the box, consumer, and all. Some of the butter that was classed second at the show, graded !)1 and 92 when returned to the grading stdres. Now someone must bo wrong in their judgment, Sly opinion is that the Government graders would give better satisfaction to all concerned.—l am, etc., COMPOS MENTIS, llahotu, December 20.
