PROPOSED STRATFORD ELECTORATE.
Ai a large and representative meet ing of electors, held on .Monday night in the Borough Chandlers, and presided over by the Mayor, to consider the new electoral boundaries and the Commissioners' report regarding same, the following resolution, proposed by Air Monkhouso and seconded by Mr Fookes, was carried (writes our Stratford correspondent): "That, in view of the various recommenda lions made from .sundry local centres, it be pointed out to the. Electoral lioundary Commissioners that the Stratford County Council mid Borough have a. population of between eight anil, nine thousand, having a, '•omplete coni.minity of interest, anil that it be rspoctiiliy urged that this comity be made n nucleus of an electoral district. . Ily (he addition of a relatively inconsiderable population area, an' electorate would thus lie formed -in which (here would be a
convenience that would be highly de s-irable, and the extreme trouble and occasional friction caused by less homogenous boundaries be done awav Willi." A committee eonsistiilg of llie Mayor and Messrs ttiiU't, dames, Anderson, Monkhonse, Marchant, J. |,\ .Morrison. Kirkwood, Sole, Sexton, and Hemingway was set up to watch the interests of the proposed electorale when the Commissioners' report is made known.
