Per Press Association. Wellington, December 15. The Bostinastcr-Oncral announces the following promotions and changes in the Post and Telegraph Dcpart-i incut as from January Ist:--Air W. 11. Morris, Assistant-Con-troller of Money Order and Savings Bank, and Accountant in place of i\ir U. Uray, retired. Air J. L. 11. Ledger, first clerk in the Accountants' branch to be Assist-ant-Controller and Accountant. Air 11. A. I{. liuggins, Accounts Clerk of the General Post Office, to be first clerk of the Accountants' branch. Air D. Cuuuning, Chief Postmaster at Auckland, to be Inspector of Post Offices, Wellington. Hr P D. iioldsworth, Chief Postmaster, New Plymouth, to be Chief -Postmaster at Auckland. Mr W. J. Chancy, Assistant Inspector of Post Offices for the Central District, to be Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth. Mr J. B. Dall, Chief Clerk, Dunodin, to be Assistant inspector of Post Offices for the Central District. Air W. T.Ward, Senior Money Order and Savings Bunk Clerk, Diinc- ''•"■ *o !.u- Chief Clerk at Duiiodin Post Office. Mr C. H. Burton, Senior Money Order and Savings Dank Clerk, Wellington, to the same position at Duuedin. Air 11. Jusscll, ditto at Auckland, to ditto at Wellington. ( Air T. Aitken, Senior Clerk, 'flumes, to be Senior Jioney Order and Savings Bank Clerk at Auckland. Air E. Northcroft, Chief Postmaster at Blenheim, to be Chief Postmaster at invcrcargill, in place of Air Tipping, retired.

Air W. St. G, Douglas, Assistantinspector of Post Ollices, Midland District, to be Chief Postmaster at Dunedin, in place 0 f Mr deceased.

Mr E. Senn, Chief Clerk at Auckland, to be Assistant-Inspector for the Midland District.

Mr A. P. Drydeu, Assistant Chief Clerk, Auckland, to be Chief Clerk at Auckland.

A few other positions have vet to be settled.
