The night was fine, and a fair crowd put in an appearance. Jiiss L. Richards opened the programme, with a. pianoforte solo, 'i'lie children rendered ' All Ai-ior.;.; the Barley," which was t'o'lswed l,y a "IMllie's Song." The smaller -:r!- ;.avo a good exhibition of <1 u'l'-U-loTl drill, after which was "Who Killed Cock Robin." Wand drill by three s.-niftr boys followed, and "Xrrscry Rhymes," dumb-bell drill (s.eniors) and choruses made up an excellent programme. The choruses were "Merry Soldiers,' "The r>ee," "The Foe .lumps l'p," mill a marching song. During an inti -rval. Mr Po'diingliorne e.i ve a, comic -.01.g, which was much appive'at'd. Coon!'' "Stay in Your Own Bckyard," and "Alabama Coon," and "Ten Little Xiggers," earned much applause. Richards presided at lee piano.
