m THE VICTORIAN BILL. i Melbourne, December 12. A clause inserted in the Licensing Bill enacts that whenever a licensing district (local option) declares for reduction or no-license, the shall compensate the licensees affected out of the compensation fund, but if Die fund is iusullicient the Treasurer, shall require every holder of a licenses in the State to contribute pro rata tq make up the amount required. Failure to comply with the demand by a licensee wituiii three months will mean - that his license, ipso facto, shall be,come void. The clause was agreed to. ' '
