CONCERN FOR OUR SAFETY. .<_ SATURDAY'S EARTHQUAKE. Received 11th, 1.20 a.m. Sydney. December 10. Some concern is felt over the pulr lication in a Sunday paper of a sensational cable from Auckland stating that a severe earthquake, lasting half a minute, has done damage to the southern portion of the North Island. Up to the present, the news has no', been continued by the leading newspapers.
