LORD MAYOR OF SYDNEY.
AN INTERESTING CONTEST. Received 11, 1.24 a.m. Stdxey, December 10. Mr Hughes was elected Lord Mayor, after a contest with the present Mayor, which resulted in a tie. The latter gave his casting vote In favor of hiß opponent.
