ONE OUNCE UNIT SUGGESTED. > Beceived 9th, 5.3 p.m. London, December 8. The Postmaster. General announced that he is submitting to the colonies a proposal that when the Postal Union Convention becomes operative, the ounce unit of International postage should apply to Imperial penny pottage. He intimates that the alteration in postage agreed to at the late Postal Convention in Rome will cost Britain one hundred and ninety thousand per annum.
