Gladstone ' declined to accept Mr.Marks' amend- , ment including domestic servants in [ the Workmen's Compensation Bill, on i the ground that employers would not insure domestic servants. Several members urged the acceptance of the amendment. The Premier advised Mr Gladstone to accept the amendment, which was done amidst cheers.
