THE EDUCATION BILL. PROCEEDINGS IN THE LORDS. WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE BILL CHANGED. Received 4th, 10.11 p.m. London, December 4. In the House of Lords, Loid Lansdowne moved an amendment to clause 4 of the Education Bi 1, requiring that provision for religious ms iuction, under the Cowper Temple be given, either in school or elsewhere, for children whose paren s objected to the extended facilities. The amendment was carried by 131 to 45, despite the Bishop of Hereford's declaration that it was a wrecking amendment.

The third reading has been fixed fur Thursday.

TRADE DISPUTES BILL. Received 4th, 10. n p.m. London, December 4.
