Putty is allotted Bst 61bs in Tattersail's Cup, Bst 71b in tlie Summer Cup, and Bst lOlbs in the Villiers' Stakes. ACCIDENT TO GLADSTONE. Per Press Association. Auckland, December 3. The Cup candidate Gladstone badly strained a ligament of one hind log while exercising on Saturday, and it is doubtful if he will be able to race for some time. Mr J. A. Macniren, of Napier, who judged the light horses at the Taranaki Agricultural Show, has purchased Mr Jas. Campbell's pony, " Ben Tuck," which took part in the different competitions at the Show. The price paid was £2B. Th- New Zealand hurdler Hy drant was pa-sed in at 240 guineas, when put up for auction in Melbourne recently, the reserve price being 250 guineas.
