■ 11 AN IMPORTANT DISCOVERY. Rceived 29th, 10.40 p.m. Loudon, November 29. Herr Poulson, a Dane, lecturing at Queen's HaK, demonstrated that his system for the production of continuous undamped electric waves would be suitable for wireless telegraphy and telephony. Sir William Preece, who presided, stated that the Oecture sounded th e death knell of the sparking system at present used in wireless telegraphy.
