FIRES. Per Press Association, Auckland, November 25. The bone and tallow works of J. Renshaw, Grey Lynn, were destroyed by fire an Saturday. Insurances: On building, stock, £400; machinery, ,£3OO. Ah in the South British. Tlie building was owned by Mrs Faulder. Another fire took place in Arch Hill on Saturday night, resulting in the total destruction of three house?, owned respectively by Messrs Johnston, Moyla, and Wheeler, and the partial destruction of Mrs Swanson's residence- All the properties were injured, but the amount is not at present ascertainable.
Dunedin, November 24. A four-roomed house at Musselburgh, occupied by F. \V. Mortimer, was destroyed by fire. Nothing wai saved. Tiie furniture was insured foi £l5O. Mortimer lost in cash which he brought down from Oam aru last night.
