AUSTRAL BAND
The Austral Lasses Band appeared at Waiiara on Saturday night to a crowded house, and afterwards came into town, reaching here about midnight. Proceedings commenced at the Barracks yesterday morning at 11 o'clock, anil at 2 o'clock an openair meeting was held an MarsiW ili'l, and subsequently ai die Barracks to good attendances. Jn the evening the hall was crowded, Ihe items by the bjnd being especially line. This evening a grand musical festival is to be e-iven in the W'hiteley flail, when it varied programme consisting of items by the band, j giccs, solos, etc., wi'.l be given in true Salvation Army style. The prices of admissijn should ensure a crowded house.
