The services of Mr Andrews have been retained by Mr Olson as manager of the tailoring- department. On Saturday ■ a sale of work in connection with the Church of England is to be held in the parish hall. A Jfopd musical programme lias been arranged, and afternoon "tea will be prov-ded.

A bazaar in connoction with the Piimit.ve Methodist Church was held in tlie Parish llall on Wednesday and Thursday, Mr White and his'stallbeing kept very busy throughout. A Roofing gallery in charge of Mr Carsten was a source of great attraction. The method adopted was to sell tickets on different art ides,- tickifMioldjers shooting off for the prizes, instead of disposing ! of them by other methods, etc., 10 which objection is often made. The proceeds are not yet available, but 1 should imagine llie church will bwieiit very considerably. A painful accident happened to Mrs Langdon ami Miss M. Standish through a horse falling while they were out driving, Mrs Lailgdon having both arms broken, while Miss Standish rceived a severe shaking.
