WEDDING BELLS.
A very pretty wedding took place a St. Johns Church, Omata, 011 Wed nesday last, when Mis* Blanche Gil bert, eldest un'marricd daughter} 0. Mr J. J. Gilbert, was united in mat rimony with Mr Aylmcr R. Penwar den, of Omata. The Rev, F. G Evans performed the ceremony, ant the church was crowded with friend: and well-wishers of the bride ant bridegroom. The church had beer j very .tastefully decorated with 'white flowers by friends of the bride ane bridegroom. The two younger sisters of the bride were.the bridesmaids, and Mr J. S. Lister acted as best man. After the ceremony the parents of tne bride entertained a large number of friends at their residence a a marquee having been erected near the house, in which the wedding breakfast was held. After partaking of a sumptuous repast the usual toasts were proposed and drunk with enthusiasm and a very happy tune was spent. ' ' ■*
