SENSATIONAL BANK ROBBERY
MANAGER BOTJiND AND GAGGED. EOBBEKS RIFLE THE SAFE. OHE ARREST MADE. Perth, November 21. Yesterday afternoon, Mr J ago, manager of the Day Dawn branch of the Western Australian Bank, was found bound behind the counter. He stated that about three o'clock two disguised armed men entered the bank, and asked for change of a note. Turning : round to giTo the change he found himself covered by a revolver The men bound and gagged him, took his keys, ' rifled the safe, and decamped. The manager was the only person on ; the premises. By great exertion he succeeded in getting rid of the gag, and j his cries attracted nelp The Bank authorities refuse to disclose the ] aniuunt missing, but it is believed to | be i'lDOu. Yesterday was pay day at the bank. Surprise is expressed at the fact that the robbers were not interrupted. The police are investigating and haye made one arrest. 1 ______
