Per Press Association. Ohbistchubch, JNovember 21, At the S.M. Court, Lyttelton, to-day, tttchard Gibson, master of tho schooner Joseph Sims, was lined 20s for leaving port on September 26th, without giving .1 certificate to the Collector of Customs that the ship was sufficiently ballasted, .tnd that the ballast was properly secured. The case was the first of its irind since the coming into force of the regulation regarding the ballasting of sailing vessels, and a heavy penalty was not applied for.
