WATERED WHISKY.

Per Press Association. Dunedin, November 13. Mr 11. Y. Widddowson, S.M., gave judgment to-day in a case in which the licensee of the Universal j\otel had Ijeen charged with selling whisky mixed with water, with intent to fraudulently increase its bulk. After referring to Professor Black's evidence, that "it was easy in breaking down whisky to inadvertently reduce Us strength below 25 degrees, His Worship said he was not satisfied that fraudulent intent had been proved and he dismissed the case.
