Dunedin, November 13. , e Presbyterian Assembly to-day, lstusse d the report on the Aged and Infirm Ministers' Fund and decided to refer the regulations to Presbyteries The report of the Publications Committee with respect to tha ' Outlook provoked long-and animated discussion. The question was the i ui jj catlon .°' an article signed which some considered sub- ! vemvo of the '.doctrines cjf thq Church, and the refusal to publish a letter by the Rev. P. R. Frasor pro, testing agaist its publication, unless the said ieter was considerably, amended. I was eventually resolved that while not endorsing all the views of the in question, and reasserting doctrines of Grace as set forth in the shorter catechism, that no further action should be taken A protest was entered by several mini isters, and a committee was set un to reply to the protest. The report of the committee on the growth of the Church stated that there were the following increases—r Schools 61, scholars on the roll 2209, average attendance 1320, teachers 235, teachers office bearers 115, teachers members 315, Bible classes 18, members 751, and leaders not ministers 30. In contributions therq had been a total increase of .£1242. A number of recommendations submitted were adopted. In the even- [ ig the Bible dasses' demonstration was held in Knox Church, when addresses were given by the Moderator, Dr. Gibb, the Rev. J. C. J amies on, and others.
