FATAL TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.
Per Press Association. Auckland, November i2< A tramway accident, with a fatal termination, occurred in SymondsStreet on Sunday. Mrs Alice Taylor, wife of Mr W. Taylor, manager, for Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., is alleged to have jumped from a moving tr&mcar, sustaining fatal injuries. She was picked up unconSfious, and a doctor waa quickly in attendance. lier skull was fractured and concussion of the brain followed, but she only lingered a short time.
THE INQUEST. | Auckland, November 12, An inquest was held to-day on the' body of Mrs Annie Taylor, who died from injuries received from a fall from a tramcar in Symonds street on Sunday. The verdict of the jury, after a short retirement, was that deceased died from concussion of thejbrain, caused by an accidental fall from a car. They added the following riders;—"(l) That all cars should be provided with electria bells and (2), that conductors should announce the approach of cars to eachl stopping place'"
