This showed increase of 2(i churches, giving 30D0 more sittings, ami 75 more preaching pi tees, with a total attendance ol 07,802, an increase of J, 119. The number of members 011 the communion rolls Wits 31,287. The total debt on church properly was £ 1U,3!J5, an increase of £2,;j!) I. In diseu-siou strong comment was made on the decrease in the number of baptisms. ; it was resolved that the liev. P. B. Tne Rev. A. Don, Chinese missionary, was unanimously elected Moderator for 1007-8. The members cf the assembly were entertained at a garden pirty in the First Church grounds iu lite afternoon by the Rev. Dr. aud Mrs Nisbct. To-day the pulpits iu anil around the city were occupied by visiting ministers, the Rev. Mr Munrn, m-jderator, preaching at the Knox Cliurch.
