TEMPERANCE PICNIC AT NGAIRE.

Then Mr Kob- ; son appealed on the stage with his i large gramaphone, and some humorous records were leeled off, much to ''he general amusement. In the meantime .some of the ladies had been enlivening things with some music on the p'ano. Mr C. E. Bellringor next took charge of the platform and, calling a few 10 h's ,nd, some good utile spei'hes, appropriate to the occas en, well! given. The speakers were Messrs Rich, Pickln, 11. Go"dacic, and J. Robinson. The lastnamed had just come from the Duntdn Univers.iy, and gave a good account of the temperance and nolicense prospects in Otago generally. Che party broke up in time to return home by the 5.17 p.m. train.
