ROAD BOARDS.
BARRETT., The Barrett Road Board met on 1' ri 'ay, there being present Messrs A. George, (chauman), L>. McAilum, B. Honcyfield and G. E. Blanchard.
_ police will be given to the Borough Council to have the work on the Cutfield road done without delay, otherwise the Board will be compelled \o dj the work and charge the Borough wvtli their share of the cost. Owners of proporty who have drains emptying into water-tables on Devon road will be notified to remove them.
Accounts wde passed for payment: —General, £ls 66; loan account, £ibi 10,'. CorreNpondonce was dealt \v : th in connection witli the application for an extra ten per cent on the Devon road extension loan.
EGMONT. The Egmonl lio d <i Board me'on Saturday. Present: M c ss rs 'f l< mo ,p ; J- Martin, H. tui- F. Davev, and F. Salway. Me.-sis Sladden and Palmer, engineers. reported that Mr J. C. Mu'nleliore, contractor for the Queen and Alberta roads, had completed the metalling, and had on'y a few days' work in trimming up, etc. The work had been very well curried out. The Hoard passed 11 progress pavment of .i'no. The Taranaki County Council will be asked to form the road at the junelion of Devon and Queen roads. No tender was accepted for the Upland road contract. Accounts amounting, approx'mately. to £2OO were passed for payment.
