Mr A. Carncross, representative of the " Auckland Herald" at tlie Pal■nerston Show, was a passenger to dncltunga on Saturday night. Mr A. H. Johnstone, of Messrs Malone, Anderson & Johnstone, is at present yisiting the South Island prior to taking a holiday trip to Australia. Mr A H. Vile, formerly proprietor of the Kketahuiia Express, has received tlio appointment of editor and manager of the Farmers Uuion Advocate, vice Mr Cummins, who lias joined the New Zealand Times staff.
Footballers will regret to learn that Mr Jack Thomas, -fourth son o£ Mr Joo Thouias, of JNgaire, is likely to lose the use of his right arm through the accident lie met with some months ■igo on the football field. He returns home shortly after length}' treatment under Dr. Pbskins, of Masterton. Much sympathy is expressed for Mr Thomas in his misfortune.
Miss Grace Falotta, the famous Gai etv actress, at presunt in this country on her return to London will immediately rejoin the forces of George Edwardes at the Gaiety Th§atre.
