Stnnbnr-y, who is to row Webb for £2OO on the Wanganui liiver on Boxing Day, arrived at Wanganui yestorday afternoon. Miss Ainsworth has declined to take up her duties as teacher at Whangauomona, although she recently accepted the appointment. The following were amongst the visitors at the White Hart Hotel yesterday :—Hughes, Loekhead, Mrs Home, Messrs Irning, Mury, Henning, K. A. Gray, Brown, Miss Kobin (Wellington), Davy, Mrs Smith and child (Auckland), Cooper (Christchurch), Uhislioim (Nelson), Walton (Palmers.on JSorth), Weir (Hawora), Driver 1 Wanganui).
