Mr J. R. Corrigan (Hawera) was a heavy scorer in the sheep classes, eight firsts, Mr F. A. Bremer with his unbeaten champion mare Glennie, again defeated all comers, including several winners of Southern championsh ps securing the red ribbon. A new feature introduced in the show this year is the butter-fat competition. For this a championßhia piize of £2 S is offered, to be won in three yearly competitions. Points are computed : one point f or every ten pounds of milk in fonr dayS) a^ tC ° iTdLd or Ti ry pound of butter - f « pi educed.
