Tho Rev. Osboi nc, of New Plymouth, presided. An r.ilhe.ii by the choir opened the proeecdin s. after which songs were contribute . by "Mesdames Webster, Burnside, L\..i.js, and Richardson, and Miss W son, Messrs J Sutherland, B. Sutherland, and Webster ; cornet solo, Mr Curd; recitations (2), Mr Curne; duet, Mr and Mrs Webster ; farewell dirge (bagpipes), Mr j McLeod ; and addresses by Adjutant Beates and Mr White.

At the conclusion of the programme Mr B. H. JNie'holls (ex-Mayor), on behalf of their many Inglewood friends, presented Mr and Mrs Webster with a beautiful piece of silver m the shape of an entree dish, also a purse of sovereigns. Mr Webster suitably responded, after which supper was handed round by the ladies, and •' God be with you," sung by the gathering, brought a most enjoyable send-off to a close.
