BOWLERS ON TOUR.
TWO WINS IN ADELAIDE. Received 29th, 10.37 P-m. Adelaide, October 29. The bowlers were welcomed this morning by Mr Bruce, Mayor of Adelaide, at the Town Hall. Subse quently they were driven to the Zoological Gardens, which were much admired. During the afternoon, in pleasant weather, two matches were played at the Semaphore against a combination four rinks of western suburban clubs. Results:— Bee, Thomas, Gardner, Wheeler (26) beat Blight ( 19). Bastings, Ledingham, Rankin, Dall (31) beat Channon (19). Akhur»t, Clark, Manning, Keast (24) beat Smith (23). Durie, Walters, Buchanan, McLaren (32) beat Sobers (8). Totals: New Zealand, 114; Western Suburbs, 69. In the evening a dinner was given at the Slmaphore.
The other section, after being welcomed by the Mayor at Norwood, played three eastern suburban teams. Results:— .
Cooper, Osmond, Waddell, Hancock (22) lost to Bowley (28). ' Court, McGibbon, Mowlem, Bouskill (41) beat Hooper (17). Black, McPherson, Scott, Sneddon (24) beat Hyland (13).
Reid, Jackson, Smith, Payne (31 beat Bower (10).
Totals. New Zealand, 124; Suburbs, 68.
The players were entertained ai dinner in the evening at Norwood.;
