The bitter feeling in Japan is developing into an anti-Amercan agitation.. THE POSITION GRAVE. AN OPEN RUPTURE POSSIBLE. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT MAKING INQUIRIES. Received 2SfF, 4.54 p.m. London, October 27. Reuters Washington correspondent states the Government consider the American-Japanese situation exceedingly grace, requiring most delicate treatment to prevent an open rupture. President Roosevelt is sending for 'Mr Metcalfe, at present Secretary for Commerce, to make inquiries at San Francisco.
